Surrendering A Pet To W.I.S.H Rescue

At W.I.S.H Rescue, we understand that sometimes life takes unexpected turns — and making the heart-breaking decision to rehome your pet may be the most responsible and loving choice you can make. Whether you're experiencing personal hardship, a change in housing, financial struggles, family dynamics, or behavioral challenges with your pet, we’re here to help — without judgment.

Our goal is to ensure that every surrendered dog or cat is given the best possible chance at a new life. Through our dedicated network of foster carers, we provide your pet with a safe, nurturing environment while we work to find them a carefully matched, permanent home.

We accept both owned pets and unplanned litters through our general surrender process and our Last Litter Program. All animals entering our care are assessed, provided with veterinary treatment including vaccinations, microchipping, and desexing, and promoted through our adoption network.

What You Can Expect:

  • A confidential, respectful surrender process

  • A detailed surrender form to help us understand your pet’s needs

  • A team member who will work with you to determine the best plan of action

  • Updates on your pet’s wellbeing (upon request)

While we try to help as many animals as possible, we are a small volunteer-run rescue with limited space and foster carers. In some cases, there may be a wait time or referral to another trusted organisation.

If you’re considering surrendering your pet, please complete the Surrender Form below, and our team will be in touch as soon as possible.

Let us help your pet take their next step toward a safe, loving future.
