W.I.S.H stands for Welcomed Into Safe Haven — and that’s exactly what we aim to provide for every animal that comes through our doors.

We are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit animal rescue based in South East Queensland, dedicated to giving vulnerable cats and dogs a second chance at life. Whether they’re abandoned, surrendered, at risk in pounds, or born into unsafe environments, W.I.S.H Rescue steps in to ensure they receive the care, love, and future they deserve.

Founded with compassion and driven by community, W.I.S.H Rescue operates through a committed network of foster carers, transport volunteers, and supporters who all share one goal: to change lives, one animal at a time.

What We Do

• Rescue dogs and cats from pounds, neglectful situations, and urgent surrender cases

• Provide vet care, including desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention

• Place animals in foster homes where they can heal, grow, and thrive

• Find safe, loving forever homes through a thorough adoption screening process

• Offer support to the community, including our Last Litter Program, surrender assistance, and education
